A set of carbide grinding heads for a modeling mini drill, from DSPIAE. Several shapes in one package, with a double flute design for clearing chips.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of working heads of a tungsten-based sintered material for a modeling mini drill or an electric grinding pen. The individual heads differ in shape, so the set covers spherical hollowing, cylindrical widening of a hole and work on an edge. The cutting edges have a double flute that clears the removed material away, which is why the heads clog less and raise less airborne dust.
Clamp the head with the shortest possible overhang and work at low speed. Do not add pressure, because a sintered cutting edge removes material on its own and pressure only heats the plastic until it melts. Proceed in short touches and keep checking how much material has already gone; on thin walls an electric tool is fast enough to break through within a second.
The material is hard but brittle, and sideways levering will break the head. Protect your eyes, the flying chips are sharp. Do not breathe in the dust from resin and filler, work in a ventilated room and wipe the surface with a damp cloth afterward. Wipe the heads after use and store them separately.
A mini drill and the model are not included in the package.
Before buying, check that the collet of your tool matches the shank of the heads. Shank diameters differ between manufacturers and an adapter is not usually part of the delivery.
