The extended tube is designed to reach the bottom of tall bottles of thinner and paint, from which an ordinary short pipette cannot draw the last of the contents without tipping the bottle.
For anyone who mixes shades or thins paint for an airbrush, and especially for those who buy thinner in a large container. A pipette can be rinsed out with a suitable thinner after use and used again, but with solvent-based paints the plastic clouds over in time, so it pays to have several and to set aside one pipette for water-based products and another for solvent-based ones.
Five pieces in one package has a practical reason: a pipette is a consumable, and it is better to throw it away once it is fouled than to risk the remains of an old shade contaminating a freshly mixed color. Always ventilate when working with thinners and use eye protection. Do not leave a pipette lying full after use, as the remaining solvent can attack the plastic. Keep out of the reach of children.
