DSPIAE LM10 polishing compound of 2000 grit in liquid form. It levels the surface after sanding and is the first step toward a high gloss.

This is modeling chemistry, not a paint. The liquid polishing compound of the Chinese maker DSPIAE in 2000 grit serves to smooth the surface after sanding and to remove small particles of dirt from a painted surface. Of the line, 2000 grit is the coarsest, so it is used as the first step. The manufacturer also offers the same compound in finer grades, with which the polishing continues toward a high gloss.
For modelers who build car bodies, aircraft in gloss schemes or anything where the surface is meant to look like a lacquer rather than like paint. The procedure is simple: wipe the surface first, put a small amount of compound on a sponge or cloth, spread it in an even layer and polish. Then clean the surface, and only then move on to a finer grade, otherwise you will carry the coarser grit into the finer step.
The compound is not a toy and is not intended to be swallowed; keep it out of the reach of children. Use eye protection while working and wash your hands afterwards. Polishing produces a fine slurry that has to be wiped off before it dries. Work only on fully cured paint as well, because on a coat that is not fully dry the compound will dull the surface, and a dull patch can then be removed only by repainting the whole area.
