An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian ground-attack aircraft Su-39 in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Zvezda. The package consists of gray plastic sprues, a clear part for the canopy and a decal for the marking options. It is a classic kit with underwing stores that turns one of the best known modern attack aircraft into a striking item in a collection.
The Su-39 is a modernized, anti-tank oriented version of the proven ground-attack aircraft Su-25 Frogfoot. The single-seat machine was designed to destroy ground targets and armor in all weathers and received improved avionics and a broader range of guided and unguided weapons. The heavy armor of the cockpit and the robust structure resistant to battle damage, thanks to which the Frogfoot family earned its reputation as a tough attack aircraft, remained characteristic.
Before closing the fuselage, attend to the cockpit and the forward section; glue the joints with thin cement for plastic and mask the glazing. Paint the underwing stores and the pylons separately and fit them at the very end. Paint with an airbrush: modern Russian camouflage stands out on a smooth primed base and a fine panel wash emphasizes the breakdown of the airframe.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
