DSPIAE MP-01 is a moisture-retaining palette for water-thinnable paints. The reservoir underneath holds water, the water-conducting paper carries it upward and the paint on the palette stays workable even after a longer break.

The palette solves the most tiresome property of acrylics: they dry faster than you can spread them. The closed tray is filled with water, the water-conducting paper goes on the bottom and the palette paper is laid over it. Water passes up from below and keeps a drop of paint workable even when you step away from the bench for a while.
The manufacturer states the palette itself with a lid, three water-conducting papers and ten palette papers. The palette paper is a consumable and gets changed with every new set of shades, otherwise the remains of the previous paint get into the new mixing.
It will be appreciated above all by those who brush-paint figures and busts, that is work in which a shade is built up in layers and transitions are blended while wet. The palette is designed for acrylics and other water-thinnable paints; oil-based and solvent-based materials do not belong in it, because they do not work with the water in the reservoir underneath.
The palette closes with a lid, so mixed shades can be kept even between two sessions. Count on the paint in the closed damp gradually thinning down and shifting slightly in tone, though, so make a record of shades that matter to you. The paper refills are a consumable and are bought separately.
