HäT 1:72 Napoleonic British Light Dragoons is a set of twelve British light dragoons with horses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package holds twelve riders in four poses and horses in two poses. The figures are unpainted and the riders have to be seated in the saddle. The set fills out the British foot and artillery units of the same line with a mounted element, without which a Napoleonic array comes across as incomplete.
The British light dragoons served for reconnaissance, for covering the flanks and for pursuit, but in practice what the heavy cavalry was supposed to do was asked of them as well. They were marked by a striking uniform with a short coat and a helmet or a shako, whose form changed several times during the war. In the campaign in Spain the British cavalry earned a reputation as formations that charge boldly but gather themselves back into the array with difficulty afterwards.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Lighten the blue coat of the British light dragoons on the edges, as otherwise it goes dark in a small scale. Suggest the braiding on the chest with short strokes of a fine brush, since a literal rendering does not look good in 1:72. Seat the riders in the saddle only after the horse has been painted and unify the horses into two shades.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
