DSPIAE PMT-H07 is precut masking tape with hexagons seven millimeters in size. A pattern for medium and larger surfaces, where the honeycomb is meant to stay clearly readable.

A sheet of masking tape with finished hexagons seven millimeters in size. The size lies between the coarsest and the middle size in the range, so the honeycomb stays pronounced but does not swallow the surface. It is used on the covers and panels of robot figures, on modern military subjects and everywhere the pattern is meant to give the impression of a technical surface rather than paintwork.
Either you stick the hexagons themselves on and spray around them, so that the honeycomb stays in the underlying color, or you leave the surrounding frame on the model and the new paint reaches only the pattern. The second route gives a negative image of the same scheme and, together with the first, a multicolor version can be built up.
The set is aimed at builders of robot figures and modern military subjects. Seven millimeters is a suitable choice for large panels and surfaces; on smaller parts and in smaller scales a smaller size from the same range looks more natural.
The honeycomb can also be left only in a band along the edge of a panel, where it acts as a technical detail and does not reduce the legibility of markings. The tape is a masking aid, not a decal. Once the spraying is done and it has been taken off, it is thrown away.
