This is not a kit of a tank but a replacement part: a precisely turned metal barrel of the 76.2 mm F-34 gun for the T-34/76 tank in the model 1941 to 1943 versions. The maker is the Polish brand Aber, which specializes in turned barrels and etched accessories. The box states that it is intended for Trumpeter kits. The large 1:16 scale makes this kind of part worthwhile, because the muzzle and the outer outline of the barrel are the most visible things on a model of that size.
The F-34 gun of 76.2 mm caliber was the main armament of the T-34 medium tanks from 1941. It replaced the shorter L-11 and gave the T-34 a combination of penetrating power and fragmentation effect which made it a very difficult opponent in the first half of the war. The weapon was built in large numbers and also appeared in a self-propelled version on the T-34 chassis.
A metal barrel has to be degreased before painting, so that the paint will hold. The fit into the turret is usually solved by sanding the plastic seat; test it dry and only then glue it, ideally with cyanoacrylate glue. A primer from a spray can or through an airbrush sits on metal better than one applied with a brush. The muzzle of the barrel will stand out once a dark pigment is worked into it.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
