An acrylic modeling paint from the Polish maker Hataka, from the Blue Line range, in mouse gray, that is, in a muted gray shade with a slight cast toward green. The maker ties it in the name to a number from the international RAL standard, so it can be compared with paints from other brands carrying the same number. Blue Line is a water-thinned acrylic with a high pigment content, tuned above all for the brush. The bottle holds 10 ml.
It is thinned with water or with acrylic thinner from the same maker, not with lacquer thinner. Do not confuse this range with the lacquer range from the same maker; the chemistry and the thinner are different. For the airbrush thinning is necessary, because the paint is deliberately thick. Add the thinner in small amounts; an over-thinned acrylic loses its covering power.
For modelers who need a shade tied to a standard number and want to be sure of a match across brands. It comes into its own on camouflage as well as on large continuous areas of a fuselage.
