Snake Island is a small rocky islet in the northwestern part of the Black Sea which at the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2022 became a symbol of the determination to resist. Russian forces occupied it in the very first days of the war and held it for several months. Under the pressure of Ukrainian shelling from the mainland they abandoned it at the end of June 2022 and the island returned to Ukrainian control. The real subject of the figure is a present-day Ukrainian special forces operator, that is a figure in modern combat gear, not a historical soldier. Compare the particular shape of the weapons and the gear against the illustration on the box.
Try the removable parts, that is the head, the hands and the weapon, dry first and settle the pose, and only then glue them. Sand the mold seams carefully, because on a large figure every one of them shows. A primer is essential; without it the paint will not hold on smooth plastic. In 1:24 scale the face is the main surface, so layering with a brush and painting the skin, the fabric and the metal parts separately pays off. Paint the present-day digital camouflage pattern from the base tone up to the light patches.
