Airfix QUICK BUILD Hawk Red Arrows is a kit of snap-together parts with no glue and no painting, with a stand.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the BAE Hawk trainer in the colors of the British Red Arrows display team, from the QUICK BUILD range by Airfix. The parts are colored and go together with a snap, like building blocks, so the model is built with no glue and no paints. The box holds around a third of a hundred parts, stickers and a stand of its own. The wingspan of the finished model is about 180 mm; the manufacturer describes the range as its easiest level of difficulty.
The BAE Hawk is a British jet trainer and light combat aircraft that first flew at the beginning of the 1970s and serves with dozens of air forces. The Red Arrows display team has used it since 1979 and its aircraft carry a striking red finish with white and blue elements; it is precisely this finish that makes them one of the best-known aviation symbols of Britain. During displays the team releases colored smoke trails, for which the aircraft has a modified tank.
Cut the parts off the connectors with nippers or a blade and sand back the remains of the gates so that the parts seat tightly. No painting is needed, but the model can be painted; in that case paint before joining the parts and bear in mind that paint increases the play in the snap-together joints. Place the stickers onto a clean and degreased surface and press them from the center toward the edges so that no air is trapped under them.
The model is supplied unassembled. Paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. No glue is needed for assembly.
