The ICM Royal Air Force Acrylic Paints Set holds six 12 ml bottles of water-thinnable acrylic put together for the camouflage of British aircraft of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of water-thinnable acrylic paints from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM for Royal Air Force (RAF) aircraft of the Second World War. The package holds six bottles with a volume of 12 ml. It is not a kit, but the paints to paint one with.
According to the manufacturer the shades are Extra Dark Green, Dark Grey, Blue Grey, Chocolate (Chipping) and Gun Metal, rounded off with a satin varnish. The dark green and the dark gray suit the two-color camouflage of the upper surfaces, the blue-gray the undersides and Gun Metal the metal and armament parts. Chocolate is a brown shade meant for paint chipping, that is for suggesting the worn and scuffed spots on the wing and in the cockpit. The paints dry flat, so a gloss or satin finish has to come from a varnish. Once dry they resist water and take oil paints, enamels, washes and thinners, so they hold up under weathering techniques.
The set suits a modeler of British aircraft who wants the camouflage shades together. The satin varnish in the package covers the surface under the decals. The base kit, glue and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
Work in a well-ventilated area and protect your airway when spraying with an airbrush. Keep the paints out of the reach of children.
