A cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) in gel form with a content of 3 grams from Samson. Unlike liquid super glue, the gel does not run into gaps or flow down a vertical surface, so it can be placed precisely on one spot and the part can still be moved for a moment. That is exactly why it is irreplaceable in a modeling workshop for gluing photo-etched parts, metal barrels and resin castings.
Degrease the surfaces before gluing; super glue does not hold on greasy metal. Apply a very small amount, best with a toothpick or a piece of wire rather than straight from the tube, as the excess turns white and is conspicuous on a finished model. Once cured, super glue is hard and has little flex, so the joint will not take bending. Watch out for clear parts: the fumes from super glue can fog them, so glue canopies another way or work in a ventilated space with a large margin. A separate debonder is made for releasing the joint.
The glue bonds skin instantly, fingers included. Work carefully, preferably with gloves, and keep out of the reach of children. It irritates the eyes and the airways, so work in a ventilated space. Do not rub an affected eye and see a doctor. Close the tube firmly after work and store it in a cool place; the glue then lasts considerably longer.
