DSPIAE SS-C01-600 is a refill of ninety-six self-adhesive foam discs five millimeters in diameter in 600 grit. The intermediate step between coarse abrasion and smoothing.
Responsibility details are not available.
Ninety-six foam discs with a self-adhesive back, five millimeters in diameter. The 600 grit has a single task: to remove the scratches left by the coarse 400 grit without wiping away the shape you leveled with the coarse abrasive. Without this step the coarse scratches run through the whole procedure and show up under the paint, when they are hardest to put right.
Immediately after the coarse leveling of a joint, filler or a sprue nub. Go over the face for as long as it takes for all traces of the previous grit to disappear under a side light. Only then does it make sense to move to the finer step.
The refill is for users of the discs in this range. Of the four, the 600 grit is used up fastest, because it removes the most material and clogs sooner than the finer grits.
It pays to buy more of this grit than of the others and keep it fitted on a mandrel of its own, because it is with this one that resticking the discs recurs most often. Do not breathe in the sanding dust from plastic and resin; work with extraction or at least with a respirator.
