Static grass 4 to 6 mm in the Deep Green Meadow shade

Static grass is loose growth of short synthetic fibers used to grass over figure bases, terrain boards and dioramas. The fibers in this tub measure 4 to 6 mm, so once applied they create taller, uncut grass cover. The Deep Green Meadow shade matches the deep green of a grown meadow in full growing season. The manufacturer Green Stuff World supplies the grass in a plastic tub of 200 ml, from which it is poured again and again and any unused remainder goes back in.

Use

• Coat the area you want to grass over with PVA wood glue or with a glue meant for grassing.
• Lay the fibers on thickly, ideally with a static grass applicator, which stands them upright with an electrostatic field.
• Once it is dry, tap the excess back into the tub; nothing goes to waste.
• Combine the longer fibers with shorter ones or with ready-made tufts so that the growth does not look uniform.
• The finished area can be toned with thinned paint or pigment to break up the sameness of the shade.

Who it is for

The tub suits diorama builders, railway modelers and tabletop gamers finishing figure bases. Working with it calls for no experience, but a static grass applicator improves the result considerably.

This is a loose material. Work in a ventilated room, do not breathe the fibers in and store the tub out of reach of children. Glue and an applicator are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
