A fine scatter sand in a natural shade, in a package of 200 ml. It is the most basic material for building terrain there is: it gives an area the grain that a smooth board lacks, and once painted it turns it into ground. Without that layer, even a carefully made landscape looks like painted plywood.
It is used on field and forest paths, on the banks of water, on the edges of trenches, as a base under grass and on the ground around vehicles. It also finds a use on the bases of figures and as the material with which the joint between a model and its base is concealed.
Coat the area with PVA glue thinned with water and a drop of dish soap, which lowers the surface tension, and pour the sand on from above. Once it is dry, tap off the surplus. Never leave the sand in its original color: paint it in layers, from a darker base up to a lighter drybrush, and add coarser grains or small pebbles so that the area is not uniform.
This is a material for building landscape. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
