"Try Me" Acrylic Paints Set

The ICM Try Me acrylic paint set: 6 bottles of 12 ml

An entry set of acrylic paints from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. The package holds six bottles with a volume of 12 ml. It is a water-thinnable acrylic meant for plastic models; the type of binder is therefore unambiguous, and neither thinning nor cleaning the tools calls for solvent thinners.

What the set is for

As stated on the box, the set is put together for trying out the line: a modeler can check the coverage, the drying and the behavior of the paint under a brush and in an airbrush on it before starting to buy individual shades. It is therefore not a camouflage set tied to one subject, but a cross-section of the line.

Use

• The manufacturer prepared the paints above all for brush application.
• For the airbrush the manufacturer gives a thinning of 40 to 60 percent with water or with ICM acrylic thinner.
• Apply it in thin coats; a heavy coat of acrylic buries the engraving and the fine relief.
• Shake the bottle thoroughly before every use.
• Wash the tools in water right after work; dried acrylic is hard to remove.

Acrylic paints are water-thinnable and undemanding to work with a brush, but even so make sure of ventilation when spraying and protect your airway. Keep the bottles well closed, do not let them freeze and store them out of the reach of children.
