Aichi D3A1 Val – 3D-printed seat belts 1:48

The set brings seat belts made as 3D-printed decals. Unlike flat decals these elements have real thickness and raised relief, so once applied the belts and their buckles look three-dimensional and convincing. The colors match the harness of a Japanese carrier crew.

Use

  • The elements are applied much like wet decals – they are released from the backing in water and transferred onto the seat.
  • The belts follow the shape of the seat and can be arranged into a realistic drape.
  • Press them into the detail with a soft cotton bud; coating the surface with gloss varnish beforehand helps. Whether a decal softener can be used on them is given in the manufacturer's instructions.

For builders of the Aichi D3A1 Val model in 1:48 who want to improve the cockpit interior quickly and without photo-etch.
