An unobtrusive little thing that saves a lot of swearing and a lot of spilled paint. The set contains three small plastic funnels made by ASK (the modeling accessory line of the Art Scale brand). In size they are made exactly for modeling bottles with a narrow neck, the ones you simply cannot aim into from an ordinary container. It is not a kit or a part of a model: it is a workshop aid.
Three pieces in the package are more practical than it looks at first sight. It is worth dividing them up by content: one for paint, a second for thinner, a third for varnish or cleaner. A funnel you have just poured paint through always carries a residue of pigment, and if you poured clean thinner through it straight afterwards, you would contaminate the thinner.
After use, clean the funnel at once: with water-thinnable acrylics rinsing with water is enough, with solvent-based paints you have to use the corresponding cleaner or thinner. Dried paint in the narrow neck is the end of its usefulness. With aggressive thinners (cellulose or lacquer thinner), test compatibility on one piece first: leave a drop in it for a while and see whether the plastic goes dull or soft. The manufacturer does not state the resistance of this particular plastic to solvents, so it is not guaranteed.
For everyone who mixes their own shades, decants paints into smaller bottles or works with an airbrush, which is to say for practically every modeler who does not want a bench covered in colored blots.
It is not a toy: keep out of the reach of children. Ventilate when working with paints and thinners and follow the instructions of the maker of the chemicals you use.
