A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard, intended for the large Gloster Meteor F.8/FR.9 kit in 1:32 scale from the Revell brand. It offers finely embossed metal landing flaps with faithful structure in the ribs, the stiffeners and the lightening holes, of a kind that cannot be molded into plastic parts. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that will raise the detail of a finished build.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter to see service in the Second World War. The F.8 version became the main postwar fighter variant, while the FR.9 served as a reconnaissance machine with a modified nose. Lowered flaps are among the striking features of a Meteor on its stand.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife, make the bends in a photo-etch bender and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with epoxy. Before painting we recommend degreasing the metal and spraying it with primer.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
