A detail set from the SPACE line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard for the large Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 kit in 1:24 scale from Airfix. It combines three-dimensional 3D decals with color-printed instrument panels and steel photo-etched parts including the seatbelts. In the large 1:24 scale a cockpit with real relief looks especially effective. This is not an airplane model but a detail accessory.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 was one of the most widespread versions of this German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine and was built in enormous numbers. The roomy cockpit in 1:24 scale offers an ideal area for a detailed rendition of the instruments and the seat.
The 3D decals are not immersed in water — only the backing paper under the part is moistened, the decal is lifted off with tweezers and seated in a small amount of PVA glue (white glue); the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate glue for them. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue as well.
This is an add-on set (3D decals and photo-etch), not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
