Eduard SPACE - Spitfire Mk.IXe 1:48 (for Airfix kits) is a set of accessories, not a model: color 3D-printed interior decals on decal backing paper, together with colored photo-etched seat belts. You add cockpit detail in a moment, with no painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SPACE set from the Czech maker Eduard is an accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. You will find no plastic fuselage or wing parts in the package - the set is meant to improve the interior of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXe kit in 1:48 scale from Airfix. The base kit therefore has to be obtained separately.
SPACE is built on 3D-printed color decals on decal backing paper. These are neither conventional flat decals nor photo-etch - the print has real thickness and three-dimensional relief, so the instrument panel and the side panels look spatial, with raised dials, levers and knobs. The elements are already finished and in color: you moisten only the backing paper, lift the element off with tweezers and fix it with PVA glue (white glue). The set is completed by colored photo-etched seat belts, which bend realistically and drape over the seat. The combination of 3D decals and photo-etch is Eduard's answer to getting the maximum detail into a cockpit with the minimum of work.
For modelers who are building the Airfix Spitfire Mk.IXe 1:48 and want a visibly better cockpit without laboriously brush-painting the instrument panel. Even a slightly advanced modeler will manage it - it is the quickest route to a three-dimensional interior.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
