Eduard P-51D Mustang - exhaust stacks with fairing (1:72) are 3D-printed replacement exhaust stacks for a faithful improvement to a model of the famous American fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is not a kit but a detail accessory made by direct 3D printing. It replaces the plastic exhaust stacks of the original model with faithfully rendered stacks completed by a fairing. The parts have sharp, fine detail and are simple to fit. The set is intended for models of the P-51D Mustang in 1:72 scale.
The North American P-51D Mustang was one of the most successful fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a license-built Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and its long range let it escort bombers deep over enemy territory. The characteristic rows of exhaust stacks along the sides of the fuselage are a conspicuous detail that 3D printing captures faithfully.
The parts are carefully separated from the print supports and bonded with super glue. A light wash and degreasing before gluing are recommended. The exhausts are painted in burnt metal shades and finished with light weathering using pigments.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
