The real subject

The T-34/85 is the late development branch of the Soviet T-34 medium tank. Against the older machines it was given a larger three-man turret and an 85 mm gun, so the commander no longer worked the weapon and could concentrate on directing the fight. Its steeply sloped armor, wide tracks and simple construction made it a machine that after the war entered the armament of a number of armies outside the Soviet Union and served with them for many years.
