A pair of resin figures in 1:35 scale from the French brand BlackSnake Model. The set depicts a machine gun pair of the American Marines from Operation Iraqi Freedom in desert equipment. The figures are printed on a 3D printer at high resolution and are supplied unpainted and unassembled.
A machine gun crew tends to be made up of the gunner and an assistant; the figures 05 and 06 follow on from each other in their poses and they can be set into a combat scene or supplemented with further numbered pieces of the US Marines line. The American Marines used desert camouflage and modern personal equipment during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Lay down a primer and paint with acrylic paints; for desert uniforms graduate the sand and khaki tones, and bring the details out with washes and drybrushing.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
