A plastic kit of the licensed science-fiction AT-ST walking machine in 1:100 scale. It is a snap-fit model: the parts are molded in color and snap together, so the build needs neither glue nor paints and beginners can manage it. A display backdrop for an eye-catching presentation is usually included as well.
The AT-ST (All Terrain Scout Transport) is a two-legged Imperial scout walker, known from the battle on the moon of Endor in the film Return of the Jedi. Its rotating head carries light weapons and serves for reconnaissance and infantry support.
The model works straight out of the box without paint, but an unforced accentuation of the panels and a light dusting with a wash or pigments will give it the convincing look of a combat machine. The stickers can be replaced with waterslide decals, if those are included.
The snap-fit kit is supplied unassembled. Glue and paints can be used for a firmer joint and a painted finish, but they are not included in the package.
