Kannushi with an altar 1:35 is a resin set from Tori Factory showing a Japanese Shinto priest at a ceremonial altar. A striking addition to genre dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a resin figure of a kannushi - a Japanese Shinto priest - together with a ceremonial altar in 1:35 scale. The parts are cast, unassembled and unpainted, from the South Korean maker Tori Factory.
A kannushi is a clergyman who cares for a Shinto shrine and performs ceremonies. The set captures him in traditional vestments at an altar of the kind used in rites of consecration and blessing. The subject gives a Japanese-themed diorama an authentic atmosphere and a narrative element.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut away the casting blocks and sand them (with respiratory protection). Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). After the base coat of primer, paint with acrylics or enamels; the white and colored vestments come out with fine glazes and shading of the folds, and the wood of the altar with layering and a light drybrush.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
