This is a resin set of six Type 64 rifles in 1:35 scale for themes of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). The Type 64 is a Japanese 7.62 mm battle rifle, for many years the standard weapon of the JGSDF, which was later joined by the newer Type 89. It is not a figure or a vehicle but a detailed accessory for arming figures.
The rifles serve as armament for figures, in weapon racks or as props for a scene. Six pieces in the box cover a whole squad, which is ideal for dioramas from the period when the Type 64 was in service.
Wash the mold release agent off the small resin parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with super glue. The rifle looks good after a coat of primer, a base color and fine highlighting of the edges; set the wooden parts of the stock apart with a warm tone.
It is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted resin set. Figures, paints and glue are not included in the package.
