The Karabiner 98k is a bolt-action rifle of the Mauser system in 7.92 x 57 mm, introduced by the German army in 1935. It was the basic infantry weapon of the Wehrmacht in the Second World War and became famous for its reliability and its accuracy. The designation kurz refers to the shortened carbine version of the Gewehr 98 rifle.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Paint the stock in brown wood shades with fine glazing and the metal parts in matte black to gray; wear is suggested with a dry brush and a light wash.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin set. Paints, glue and the figure are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
