This resin set reproduces the Korean corner shooting unit together with the K5 pistol in 1:12 scale. This is not a standalone model but a detailed accessory for figures in the same scale. The hinged design makes it possible to set the folded angle and so to suggest firing from around a corner; the K5 pistol can be swapped out in the unit.
The K5 was introduced as the standard pistol of the Korean army in 1990 and uses the 9 mm Parabellum cartridge with a double-action and single-action trigger mechanism. The corner unit was developed by Korean defense research as a counterpart to the concept that allows a shooter to aim and fire from cover around a corner without being exposed.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Paint the metal parts in matte black to anthracite and pick out the fittings with a dry brush; leave the hinge movable for the pose you want.
It is supplied as an unpainted resin set. Paints, glue and the figure are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
