A resin conversion set in 1:72 scale for converting a base model into the South Korean TA-50 aircraft in the Block 1 / 2 version (LIFT, Lead-In Fighter Trainer). The set holds resin and, where applicable, 3D printed parts that complete or replace parts of the base kit and make it possible to build this particular version. It is not a complete model: the conversion completes a separately obtained kit of the matching airframe. The set is designed for the Academy kit.
The TA-50 is the advanced trainer and light combat variant from the family of South Korean T-50 Golden Eagle aircraft from KAI. In the LIFT stage it serves to prepare pilots for modern combat machines and is able to carry light armament. The Block 1 / 2 version differs in equipment and configuration from the basic T-50 trainer.
First wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut off the casting blocks, then bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The conversion calls for precise fit with the plastic parts, so a dry run and any sanding down of the joints is worth the effort. We recommend a primer as an undercoat, painting with an airbrush and cleaning up the transitions before the decals go on.
This is a conversion set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue, paints and decals beyond those in the set are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
