This set from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures brings cats cast in resin in the large 1:16 scale. It is an accessory for figure compositions and dioramas, not a kit of a vehicle or an aircraft. The parts are cast in gray resin, as a rule one piece at a time with a minimum of casting seams.
Cats are among the popular elements for bringing civilian and urban scenes to life. In the large 1:16 scale the detail of the fur and of the poses stands out, which lets figure modelers create believable scenes from everyday life.
First wash the parts free of the remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean them up. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use respiratory protection when sanding. Acrylic paints are excellent for painting, and oils or pigments for bringing out the fur.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
