Mantis Miniatures 1:35 Delta Operator, Somalia 1993 is a resin figure of an American special operations soldier from the fighting for Mogadishu in 1993, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures representing an operator of an American special operations unit from the time of the fighting for Mogadishu in Somalia in 1993. It is a single figure for dioramas and for display, not a kit of a vehicle. The casting is in resin and is intended for more experienced figure painters.
The figure captures the period equipment of a special operations soldier factually: the helmet, protective goggles, the bulletproof vest, the belt rig and knee pads. The pose and the kit match a deployment in an urban setting. The subject comes from the operation popularized by the film Black Hawk Down.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the seams carefully. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding. Acrylics and oils both suit the face and the kit; fine shading will support the small details of the equipment.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
