Mantis Miniatures 1:35 Night Stalkers Don't Quit, Somalia 1993 is a resin figure set of American soldiers from the fighting for Mogadishu in 1993, in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure set from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures representing soldiers connected with the deployment of an American special operations aviation regiment during the fighting for Mogadishu in Somalia in 1993. These are stand-alone figures for dioramas and for display, not a kit. The castings are in resin and are intended for more experienced figure painters.
The nickname Night Stalkers is linked with an American special operations aviation regiment (the 160th SOAR). The figures capture the period equipment factually, in poses matching a rescue operation in an urban setting. The subject comes from the operation popularized by the film Black Hawk Down.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the seams. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding. Acrylics and oils both suit the faces and the kit; fine shading will support the legibility of the detail.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
