The resin figure African Rebel with RPG in 1:35 from Mantis Miniatures. An unassembled and unpainted figure of an African fighter with an antitank grenade launcher.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin figure from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures shows an African fighter carrying an RPG antitank grenade launcher over his shoulder. The 1:35 scale matches the standard of military models and dioramas. The figure is of slender build, in light clothing (a T-shirt and trousers), and suits the depiction of irregular armed units, for example from the setting of the civil conflicts in Africa. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The figure captures factually a typical fighter of an irregular unit with light weapons, as can be seen in period photographs from the African conflicts of the 1990s. It rounds out dioramas and scenes with military vehicles and infantry in that setting.
First wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with your breathing protected. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For painting skin and cloth, acrylic paints prove themselves, with touches of oil for smooth transitions; a fine wash at the end will bring out the folds of the clothing.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base are not included in the package.
