This set from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures contains resin figures of a crew in 1:35 scale. The figures are shaped so that they fit into the interior and the surroundings of a model of a Land Rover type off-road vehicle and complete its crew. These are parts cast in resin for more experienced modelers; the set is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The figures capture armed men of the irregular units of a modern African conflict as the crew of an off-road vehicle. The set is treated factually as an accessory to a vehicle scene, which gives a diorama a story and scale. The poses match the interior and the immediate surroundings of the vehicle.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and fit the joints. Before gluing, try the figures dry in the interior of the vehicle and adjust their placing to the particular model. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and fill the seams. Build the skin and the clothing up by layering acrylics or oils. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The vehicle, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
