A set of resin figures of bats in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures. It is not a model of hardware but a scenic accessory for a diorama, a vignette or a small scene of its own. The castings are in gray resin. The set offers bats in several poses, which will fill in the mood of a cave, an attic, a ruin or a night scene.
Bats are a rewarding atmospheric detail, whether hanging head down in a hiding place or in flight above the scene. They give a diorama a story and draw attention to a setting that would otherwise feel empty.
Cut the small parts carefully off the casting blocks and clean them up, and wash them free of mold release agent before gluing. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The dark tones of the fur and the membranous wings will be supported by glazes and gentle dry-brushing. With parts this small, work with a sharp knife and good lighting.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
