This set is not a model but an accessory in resin in 1:35 scale. It contains a cast fast rope mount, which is fitted to the helicopter, and roughly 50 cm of elastic rope for rendering a fast rope descent. The mount is designed for models of the Black Hawk type helicopter.
Fast-roping is a technique with which airborne and special forces get out of a helicopter quickly without it landing. The helicopter hovers over the target and the soldiers slide down a thick rope hung from a boom in the doorway. That is exactly the scene this set makes it possible to capture in a static setting.
Wash the casting free of mold release agent, separate the sprue gate and sand it. Glue the mount on with super glue; the elastic rope can be stretched between the helicopter and a figure to create an impression of movement. Paint with acrylics and bring out the metal parts with metal shades and a fine wash.
It is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin casting. Paints, glue and the helicopter model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
