The European Lantern is a small resin accessory in 1:35 scale from Mantis Miniatures. It is a scenic element, not a model of a vehicle or a figure: a classic hanging lantern fills in an alley, a yard, the wall of a house or a railway station and gives a scene a period atmosphere.
The lantern works as a striking detail that populates the empty areas of a diorama and draws the eye. It can be placed on a bracket by a wall, by a gate, by an entrance or on a post, rounding out a scene with infantry as well as vehicles.
Separate the part from the casting block, wash it free of mold release agent and clean it up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The metal and glass of the lantern will come out through a combination of a metallic base color, a dark wash and fine highlights; the glazing can be suggested with a gloss clear coat.
This is a scenic accessory in resin. A base, figures, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
