About product

Lukgraph 1:32 PWS-A (a resin kit)

This resin, 3D-printed kit from the Polish maker Lukgraph captures the interwar PWS-A biplane fighter in 1:32 scale. It is a complete kit in resin and 3D print meant for experienced modelers, not injection-molded plastic. The key structural elements, the wings, the struts and the landing gear, are adapted for wire bracing, for strength and accuracy.

The real subject

The PWS-A was a Polish biplane fighter derived from the licensed production of the Avia BH-33 design. It represents the era of interwar fighter development with mixed construction and an open cockpit, when biplanes were approaching the limit of what they could do.

Building and painting tips

First wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and the print supports. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding resin. With a biplane we recommend planning the sequence of bracing, struts and any rigging; apply a primer before painting and work with an airbrush.

Who the model is for

  • Experienced modelers with experience of resin and printed kits.
  • Anyone interested in interwar and Polish aviation in the large scales.
  • Collectors of less usual biplanes.

The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
