The Polish manufacturer Yahu Models became known for the one thing it does really well: finished, pre-painted instrument panels for model cockpits. This accessory is intended for the Mirage IIIC kit in 1:72 scale from Special Hobby. It is not a model and not a kit; the Mirage IIIC kit itself is not included in the package.

The main value added lies in what you do not have to do. The panel arrives complete: the instruments, the dials, the lettering and the colored areas are already done at the factory. You therefore do not have to paint it, you do not have to assemble multi-layer photo-etched parts and you do not have to struggle with fine tools to paint dials at a scale where the whole panel is only a few millimeters across. In practice it is simply dropped into the place of the original plastic part, and the cockpit, which in a small scale is the most visible part of the interior, suddenly looks like that of a far more detailed model.

Use

• It replaces the plastic (or decal) instrument panel in the Mirage IIIC 1:72 kit from Special Hobby.
• The original part usually has to be thinned or sanded down a little so that the panel sits at the right depth.
• It is fitted with cyanoacrylate applied in a minimal amount, or with glue for photo-etched parts.
• The panel is not painted, as any spray would destroy the factory printing.
• It is best fitted only once the surrounding cockpit interior is finished and painted.

Who the accessory is for

For modelers who build the Mirage IIIC in 1:72 and want to raise the quality of the cockpit quickly and without risk, including those who do not dare to paint miniature dials or to assemble photo-etched sets. Even a less experienced builder will manage it, because it is not a build but the exchange of a single part.

It is not a model; the Mirage IIIC kit from Special Hobby, paints and glue are not included in the package. When handling the panel, do not touch the printed surface with your fingers, because grease can damage the printing.
