Responsibility details are not available.
A set of eighteen unpainted figures of Union infantry of the American Civil War in 1:32 scale, in a marching pose. This is the first of two marching sets, which complement each other, so from both together you can put a longer column with a wider range of poses. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
Union soldiers wore blue coats and lighter blue trousers, with a flat-topped forage cap. The daily marches were the hardest part of service: a man carried his weapon, cartridges, a blanket, a shelter half and rations, and in the summer heat unnecessary kit was regularly thrown away along the road. The large scale gives a figure room for these details of equipment to be really drawn out.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Grade the blue uniform between the coat and the trousers, as in this army they were of a different shade. Dust on the boots and the bottom of the trousers turns a marching figure into a scene.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
