A set of waterslide markings in 1:24 scale from Decalcas. It makes it possible to build the Range Rover V8 with BP as sponsor from 1979, a car tied to the very first running of the legendary Paris-Dakar long-distance rally. The set holds sponsor logos, start numbers and accompanying markings for a faithful rendering of the period livery.
The first-generation Range Rover, with its V8 engine and sturdy beam-axle construction, was among the most capable off-road vehicles at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. In the opening running of the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1979 it came through in its class and became one of the iconic cars of the event's early years.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss clear coat, float them off in water and transfer them onto the model; help them settle with a decal softener so that the decal conforms to the pressings in the body as well. Finally take the whole car over with a protective clear coat at whatever degree of sheen you want.
This is a standalone decal set, not a kit. The car model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
