German battleship Tirpitz 1:700 is a plastic waterline kit from the Japanese brand Aoshima.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit in 1:700 scale from the Japanese brand Aoshima, from the waterline line (a hull down to the waterline). The breakdown concentrates on the key parts, which makes the build straightforward while still capturing faithfully the silhouette of one of the most massive surface ships of its day.
Tirpitz was the second battleship of the Bismarck class and the most powerful surface unit of the Kriegsmarine during the Second World War. She spent most of her service in the Norwegian fjords as a standing threat to Allied convoys. She carried heavy main-caliber guns and extensive anti-aircraft armament.
A waterline model can be set on a base or into a water surface made of acrylic gel. An airbrush and precise masking of the transitions will help with the camouflage schemes. A wash into the recesses and dry-brushing will bring out the details of the superstructure. For a more faithful scale appearance, consider photo-etched railings and aerials, and glue the small parts with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
