This plastic kit in 1:12 scale from the Japanese brand Aoshima, from The Bike line, captures the popular miniature motorcycle Honda Ape 100 (type HC07) in the Deluxe version from 2008. The set holds the parts specific to the 100 model, that is, the twin seat and the passenger footpegs.
The Honda Ape belongs to what are known as four-stroke minibikes. The compact machine with its small wheels and simple frame won favor for its playful character and for how easy it is to modify. The Ape 100 version offers a more powerful engine and the option of riding two up.
The model is conceived as snap-fit, that is, for building without glue, yet we still recommend securing the joints with a drop of glue for strength. Paint the bodywork and the tank to a gloss with an airbrush, and metallic shades plus a discreet wash will bring out the frame and the engine. The small chrome parts stay cleanest if you handle them as little as possible after painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
