A modeling paint designated ALIEN paint, from the family of paints for models and figures. It serves for painting models, figures and accessories and is applied with a brush or an airbrush. The details of the shade, the volume of the package and the thinner the paint tolerates are given on the package; cleaning the tools follows the same information.
Shake the container thoroughly before use and stir the contents, as the pigment settles at the bottom and unmixed paint covers unevenly. Apply two thin coats rather than one heavy one: a thin coat preserves the raised surface detail, whereas a heavy one floods it and hides panel lines and rivets. Let each coat dry before laying down the next. For an airbrush the paint is usually thinned, for a brush often not; the thinning ratio always follows the manufacturer's recommendation, because every range tolerates a different thinner. If you are about to put decals on a painted area, coat it with a gloss clear coat first, as a silvery film forms under a decal on a matte surface.
Work in a ventilated area and use respiratory protection when spraying. Wipe the rim of the container after work so that the lid seats properly, and store the paint cool, out of direct sunlight and out of the reach of children. Neither freezing nor drying out does the paint any good, so do not store it in an unheated workshop over the winter.
For modelers who build up their own palette of shades and want a paint they can use on a model, a figure and an accessory alike. Thinner, brushes and an airbrush are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
