Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the Formula 1 car designated VR-01, which started in the 2010 season. It is a multi-material kit, that is a set in which parts made of various materials come together; the manufacturer gives the particular make-up of the package in the instructions. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The VR-01 was the car of the Virgin Racing stable, which entered Formula 1 as a newcomer in 2010. It made its mark above all in that its aerodynamics were created purely by computer flow calculation, without measurement in a wind tunnel. The result was a slender, cleanly drawn single-seater on which it shows well what the rules of that season looked like: a narrow rear wing, a high nose and covered side impact structures.
For experienced builders of car models. A multi-material set is more demanding than an ordinary injection-molded kit: it calls for more careful preparation of the mating surfaces, different glues and patience in painting. It cannot be recommended as a first Formula 1 model.
The package holds the kit. The paints, the varnishes, the glue and the tools are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
