A plastic kit of the French-German tank demonstrator EMBT (Enhanced Main Battle Tank) in 1:35 scale from Amusing Hobby. The package contains workable track links, clear parts, photo-etch, 3D-printed parts and nylon cord for the tow cables.
The EMBT is a technology demonstrator from the KNDS group which joins the turret of the French Leclerc tank to the hull of the German Leopard 2. It serves as a test platform for a next-generation tank; only a few demonstrators were built. A newer form with add-on armor was presented at the Eurosatory show in 2022. The aim of the project is to show how proven components from the two countries can be combined and to test solutions for a future European tank; the EMBT serves purely as a technology demonstrator, not as a type entering series service.
Assemble the running gear and the workable tracks before you close up the hull. Glue the 3D-printed and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue and mask the clear parts while spraying. The model has modern angular shapes with add-on armor; the sharp edges and flat surfaces will benefit from careful masking. For a modern single-color or NATO scheme use an airbrush; bring out the detail with a wash and fine pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
