This is not a model of a tank but a detail accessory (aftermarket). It is a resin canvas cover, that is the fabric cover around the gun mantlet of the British Comet tank in 1:35 scale, in the early type version. The casting faithfully captures the folds and the sag of the fabric which the plastic from the box cannot produce.
The canvas cover shielded the gap between the gun mantlet and the front of the turret and protected the mechanism. A detailed resin part gives this place a realistic texture and replaces the simplified plastic molding.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut it off the casting block and clean the mating surface up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fabric surface stands out splendidly once painted with shading and dry brushing; wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
