A resin detail set of exhaust nozzles in the open position for a model of the Japanese Mitsubishi F-2A and F-2B fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. It is not an aircraft model but a replacement part, which takes the place of the plastic nozzle with a faithfully cast nozzle with the texture of the petals and a see-through interior of the combustion chamber.
The Mitsubishi F-2 is a Japanese multirole fighter derived from the F-16 concept and developed for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). The open position of the nozzle matches the state with the engine stopped or running at low power and reveals the inner structure, which is clearly visible on a parked aircraft.
Wash the mold release off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your breathing while sanding. Create the metallic shades and the scorching of the nozzle with metallics, heat tints and a light wash; the pigment that settles to the bottom of metallics has to be stirred in thoroughly. Check the fit to the kit you are using.
